Color Me Daisy "Organize Your Heart" Crop

First off- thanks to everyone who commented on the previous post. It's nice to know I'm not alone! I think that the internet can become the cliche` "soap opera and bon-bons" of the 21st century for me.

Also, of course as I hit "publish" on that last post, we ended up having one of the crappiest days we've had together in a while. Ha! Just goes to show you, it ain't all sunshine and rainbows over here... but you know, even on the crappy days, I honestly wouldn't trade it for ANYTHING else in the world. I love my babies so very much, and have had some very sad reminders lately of how fragile & precious their little lives are.

In other news, this week is the final crop (sniff, sniff) at the Color Me Daisy website. Come check out the fun challenges and games we have planned- I hear there are prizes! ;)

Michelle has some fabulous deals on stuff in the store, including a great discount on this pretty kit!
(This kit is a $38 retail value, but during the crop, she's got it on sale for $28!!)

Hope to see y'all there!

Glass half empty and half full...

I got some sad news this week and I'm just now getting around to share it here... it's a bit of a bummer for me.

Michelle at Color Me Daisy announced this week that she is going to be closing down the message board and design team sides of her site. She's also planning to release a limited quantity of kits up to 6 times each year with a single purchase option- they will no longer be doing monthly subscriptions.

I do have to say that I'm so glad I did have the chance to design for them; Michelle is such a classy lady and has beautiful kits, and I'll be keeping my eye on the site for announcements of future kits! I met some very cool people there and am hoping to keep up with everyone through their blogs & crackbook- er, facebook.

One fun thing though- we are having a send-off crop for the site. The "Organize Your Heart" crop will be beginning next week, so make sure to stop by for fun challenges & games!

Thanks, Michelle, for allowing me this chance to be on the team. I'm so glad to have been a part of it! :)

Color Me Daisy Layouts

So since my last post, the new year started! How does your Twenty Ten look so far?

Mine has been a blur of messy house, decorations being put up, sneakily keeping down "winter decorations" and adding in Valentine's stuff, catching up on scrapping & internet browsing, hanging out with friends, checking out a new scrapbook store, and I'm sure about a bajillion other things.

One of the "catching up on scrapping things" was playing with the "Homemade Treats" kit and add on from Color Me Daisy. The sugary sweet colors and fun embellishments were so great to play with!
A little purse calendar I re-covered with the kit contents! About our new favorite movie, "Up!"

One of my favorite pics of all time- how we've gone from 5 to 6 people in our family this year. I used my new toy, the Silhouette, on this!

And, a year in review layout, for my challenge over at the CMD message board.

Color Me Daisy Sneak Peeks!

I've been working on a few layouts & projects with the Color Me Daisy January kit this week- it's so fun and happily colored! My Grams gave me a Silhouette die cutting machine for Christmas (yes, I was VERY excited!) and I've been giving it a workout with this kit. :)
I got the main kit plus the add-on below (the one on the upper left corner). I had to have those house stamps. :)

Here are a couple of sneak peeks of one of my layouts:I'll be able to share the full reveal on the first! :)

Apparently I'm on a notebook kick...

Our family has been so blessed by many sweet people that invest in my kids' lives. I am so thankful that God has put these people in our lives, and for the impact they have on all of us.

I like to be able to let them know every once in a while how much I appreciate them, but it's kind of like a drop in the bucket in comparison to what they do for us, ya know?

Either way, it's always nice to say "thank you." :)

I made these little notebooks (using the November Color Me Daisy kit, these PaperTrey Ink notepads and this free downloadable template) for the kiddos' Mom's Day Out teachers today, just as a little token of appreciation.
I'm thinking these would make great little gifts for Christmas time too!

Color Me Daisy- Autumn Splendor Kit!

This past week, I went to visit my family and I brought my scrappin' stuff with me in the hopes of sneaking in a little scrappy time. I was able to sit and chill out with my little sis and do some scrappin' on several evenings- and used the new Autumn Splendor (November Kit) from Color Me Daisy.

Here are my projects!

This one is for my November challenge: click here to read more about it.

(I added the rhinestones from my stash, but everything else is from the kit!)

My friends Michelle and Katie added some beautiful embroidery to several baby onesies for Ariana, and I was inspired by their creations to add the cool velvet rick rack and colorful buttons from the kit to a onesie.

I've had this layout in mind to create for a really long time, and it feels good to have it down on paper!

I found this quote the other day on someone's blog (I can't remember who and now it's driving me crazy!) and my friend Mandy suggested that I pair it with these photos... I think it is a perfect combination!

I have a few more things in mind to make with this kit... I'll be sharing those soon!

A few firsts...

I got my first kit this week from Color Me Daisy... and I can share a few sneak peeks at it's adorableness!

I already sat down and started playing with it; it is so fun & autumny! I can't wait to share more with ya! Keep your eye HERE for the full reveal in a few days.

****

We carved our very first pumpkins tonight. It was so fun, although- my fingers are sore! Now I see why the traditional "triangle eyes & nose" Jack O'Lantern is such a popular option!

We also watched "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown" this week for the first time. Also, for the second, third, fourth, fifth, and sixth times. Don't ever let anyone tell you that the Tillerys aren't thorough. hehe By the way, in case you get a hankerin' to watch the classic special but it's not on tv at the moment, you can watch it here at Fancast.

And tomorrow night, we'll be going to our church's fall festival. It's not the first time we've gone, but it WILL be the first time I go with a "Strawberry Shortcake Ballerina," "Woody," and a "Sassy Skeleton."

I'll let you guess who is who.

I've always loved daisies...

And now I can proudly say that I'm officially a Daisy Girl!

I was so excited to get an email from Michelle to invite me to be a part of their team & community. I feel so blessed and honored on where scrapbooking has brought me and the wonderful people I've met through this hobby. I'm looking forward to sharing with y'all my creations with the lovely Color Me Daisy kits! Make sure to bookmark their blog so you can see what this team of designers will be bringing you- the other girls on the team are crazy talented!

(For those that are curious, or just plain nosy like I would be, NoelMignon & Color Me Daisy both alternate which months their designers work with their kits, so I'll be rotating months between both kits. :) )
