Etsy Shop Update!

Now, don't fall over with a heart attack from the shock of reading the title to this blog post, but yes, it's true- I did a true, genuine, Etsy shop update with a few items today, and I have several more planned to go up on Monday or Tuesday!!!

I know, I know... craziness! ;)

Cool necklaces

I am a jewelry person. I think I always have been. When I was a teenager, I would wear gobs of jewelry. I was into the whole skater/indie girl look, so I would layer necklaces & chokers, wear tons of bracelets & rings, and had at least 6 holes in my ears.

I've, ahem, toned down my look since then, but I still love jewelry! I don't have expensive tastes; I just want it to look interesting and add that final "touch" to my look.

I'm so happy to share with you these necklaces:

My friend Katie has been bitten by the jewelry making bug, which is a win/win situation. She's selling the pieces you see here (plus some more are in the works- I hear she is also doing metal stamping!! *girlish squeals*) on our etsy shop, Paper/Hanger.

So now everyone can share in her great, fashionable designs...

and I can trick her into making some cool jewelry to give to her dear friend.

Etsy-ing

Here's some peeks at a few things I put up in my Etsy shop. I'm working on some embellished journaling blocks today, and the other gals on Paper/Hanger and I are make some collaboration plans. Keep your eye on our shop!

I'm in a big crafting mode and have no major deadlines right now, so I'm hoping to add a few more pieces throughout the week... of course I'll let y'all know. ;)

Secrets of a.... mismatched pocket art journal

I just put this up on my Etsy shop, but I don't really want to part with it because I love it so much. I think I need to make one for myself.

I thought I could use it for a memory journal, and call it "Secrets from my Childhood." I put some other ideas for it on the shop.

If you do something similar or have done something similar in the past, let me know- I'd love to see it. This has got my mind rolling in all sorts of creative directions!

(P.S. I got my Scripts kit to work on for the next kit- and OH MY. Goooood stuff there, y'all. Good stuff. Had a meeting today with Lucy and the gals, and there's a lot of fun ideas coming your way very soon. Woohoo!)

It's been a rather busy few days and I've gotten behind on my blogging.

I'll be posting my "Workshop Wednesday" from ahem, last Wednesday, tomorrow, along with some layouts from my last kit with Crop Addict.

Oh, and I also wanted to tell you- in case you are having problems getting onto Etsy, I just did a little research.

Whenever I've tried getting ono Etsy in the last three days, all it's said is "server not found." I can go to any other site on the web except for Etsy, so I knew it wasn't my internet connection.

After googling it, I found this thread that gave a good explanation and some helpful tips. From what I can tell, Etsy changed their IP address and for some servers, it can take up to 24-72 hours to "find" the website again. You can manually go into your computer and change the DNS (not quite sure what that means), but for me, I'll wait another day or two to see if it will automatically change (like it's supposed to).

If you are brave enough to go into the computer and change it manually, check out the thread above to see how to do it. I believe the instructions are on page 2. Let me know if it works for you!

(Caveat: If I've used the wrong terminology on here, feel free to correct me. I'm just trying to pass on a bit of helpful info!) :)
