A Christmas Package idea...

I have a little friend that had her 11th birthday yesterday, so I made her a batch of Chex Muddy Buddies and put it in a cleaned out formula canister.

I decorated the can with some of the November Scripts kit. I thought the Jenni Bowlin Studios paper was perfect for this!

You could also use an old hot chocolate can- or even a new one and leave the hot chocolate inside!Chex Muddy Buddies recipe:

Ingredients

9
cups Corn Chex®, Rice Chex®, Wheat Chex® or Chocolate Chex® cereal (or combination)
1cup semisweet chocolate chips
1/2cup peanut butter
1/4cup butter or margarine
1teaspoon vanilla
11/2cups powdered sugar

Preparation Directions
1.Into large bowl, measure cereal; set aside.
2.In 1-quart microwavable bowl, microwave chocolate chips, peanut butter and butter uncovered on High 1 minute; stir. Microwave about 30 seconds longer or until mixture can be stirred smooth. Stir in vanilla. Pour mixture over cereal, stirring until evenly coated. Pour into 2-gallon resealable food-storage plastic bag.
3.Add powdered sugar. Seal bag; shake until well coated. Spread on waxed paper to cool. Store in airtight container in refrigerator.

* Note to self: Make sure the burner is ON before you try to melt stuff. Standing & talking on the phone for 15 minutes, stirring & wondering why it's not melting is not the most efficient wat to go about making this.

  2. Love this. I've done something similar with the empty metal paint cans you can buy at Home Depot for a few dollars. You can close the lid and then attach the paint key with a ribbon (or attach a large metal washer to open it with) Super cute!
