Little Metal Box (Tim Holtz)

A friend of mine (the same one that gave me the lovely window frame decor) gave me this little metal box.

I had great plans for it to use as a case to hold a mini album.

However, who was I to be creative when my little dude spied it and claimed it was his treasure box?

So my plans went out the window, but I couldn't leave well enough alone, so I asked him if I could add just a few decorations.

He let me (as long as I didn't take too long).

I used some Tim Holtz products because I knew they would be masculine AND hold up to all the activity this box would see.

The numbers and skull are grungeboard., which if you are unfamiliar with it, it's an extra sturdy & pliable type of chipboard product.

You can paint it and Stickle it and it won't warp or fall apart.

I punched the stars from some Tim Holtz paper and layered it on top of some of that cool tissue tape. It's all finished off simply by a locket key hanging with a jump ring.

It's already been put to good use and being filled with treasures and tiny plastic tools. :)
