Umm Would I be out of line if I said "OH HELL NO"???? I mean COME ON...I SWOON over the description of Edward in these books and that is NOT him...He is NOT swoon worthy. They should have had a line up and let the public vote. UGH!
i've never read the books, but just from the description and all i've heard about this series i totally agree with adrienne. he's not very appealing at all.
They did the same thing with the Interview with the Vampire movie. Tom Cruise didn't match Anne Rice's description of Lestat, either. In fact, they do it all the time. Shirley Temple didn't look anything like Heidi! (Can you tell this is a pet peeve of mine? LOL)
Just started reading Eclipse and this photo in no way shows the drop-dead gorgeous Edward I imagine. His hair isn't even the right color and Bella is way too pretty. She should definitely NOT be prettier than Edward (which she is in this shot).
This cover is yucky! If I only saw this picture and not have read the books or seen the movie trailers, I wouldn't be as interested. What were they thinking? Controversy?
I have seen other pics, and he looked MUCH better.... I hope this is just a bad shot..... and I agree with Melita.... Bella should not be prettier than Edward!! And why is his shirt undone? Edward would not allow that!!
ICK ICK ICK ICK ICK ICK. I mean, the guy playing Edward is actually decent looking irl, but this picture is horrifying. Sometimes EW makes them look different than they do in the movie. My Edward is way hotter than this.
i'm so disappointed too-what an awful cover!They could never live up to the Edward in our minds-ever! I don't picture Bella looking like this either! i'm going to see the film, of course,but i've always known it could really fall short of the books & my imagination!

after first i was totally upset when i saw that he was picked. some of the other guys that stephanie wanted were much swooner. but then he started to grow on me.

This is dissapointing...I hope that in the movie it works better than how it looks in the picture.
