update on tornado victims

Hey guys!

I just wanted to update y'all on the sweet little girl we bough some stuff with during the tornado fundraiser.

I got some pictures from Elisha the other day, but because of blogger being down, I was unable to post them right away.

Elisha said that she loved her backpack, and that she didn't want to take the black tulle skirt off (apparently her mom convinced her to, though, because here she is modeling another outfit!). :) She's such a little cutie.

These pictures made me happy and my heart hurt, at the same time.

Thanks for helping us to be able to help this family out.

I have leads on two other families that I will update you on soon. I'm also going to be using some of the fundraiser money purchasing items towards the Camellia Project this week. A lot of people are needing bug spray and sun screen because as they are digging through their homes, the bugs are out like crazy, and the sun is burning many of them. We are having, fortunately, some unseasonably cool weather for the next few days, and I hope that is a small bit of mercy for those who are working outside all week.

I wanted to give a huge shout out again to Noel of NoelMignon.com. I know you guys know I talk about her a lot, but I also want you to know that I very genuinely care about her... it's more than just a connection through scrapbooking. She was amazing in her donations for the fundraiser. She lives in California, but I know she was willing to hop on a plane or send whatever we needed. I figure you guys like to know good people to support with your shopping, and this is just another reason to support her.

Another sweet supporter was Mary, of Very Mary Designs. She not only contributed a beautiful item of jewelry, but she just had a sweet way of encouragement about her. Every interaction I had with her just felt like a warm hug.

Thank you, my readers, for all of YOUR support. You guys are awesome. :)
