Last night I went to the visitation for Shelley's stepdaughter. So very, very sad. She was such a beautiful girl... you could tell by the sheer number of people there that she and her family are very loved in their community. Continue to hold the Burkett family up in prayers... they seem to be doing ok right now, but sometimes grief is a strange creature and can hit you with weakness at unusual times.
(P.S. Thanks to sweet friends who babysat my kids last night so I could go... friends are truly a *good thing.*)

Not to completely change the subject, but Shelley asked that we keep posting to our blogs because she is lurking still. So here are some of my latest creations with my kit from Noel Mignon.
Ok, I know it's completely cliche`, but I totally had to scrap these picnic pictures with the Picnic Basket kit- I mean, wouldn't you? ;)
(The Scripty Rubons come in the PB Add on; the cardstock is from my stash and I cut it with an Accucut machine; the corrugated cardboard came with some packaging in the mail)
A close up of the flowers- I coated the Prima flower with the diamond Stickles in the kit- the result is gorgeous!
I did this little card with the SEI card kit. I used a sketch found on Melissa Phillip's blog (if you need some card inspiration, she's got a lot of it there!), The papers & embellies are from the Picnic Basket kit, and the Making Memories stickers are found here. Go buy them if you don't have them- you won't regret it!
Thanks for looking! :)
So darling! I love, love, love it---wish I could stop with the shabby and create something as cute as this! Perfect.
ReplyDeleteThanks for playing along. I'll post the winner a bit later today.
